On #GivingTuesdayNM 2019, you came together in your shared vision to live in a world that is just and without. You raised $4,594.70 from 36 gifts andthey’re still coming in. Plus, three of you became new monthly donors. You demonstrated the power of grassroots giving. Your giving makes a difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness in Albuquerque.

Homelessness is inhumane and it’s degrading. Above all, homelessness is unacceptable. Everyone experiencing homelessness has a story. You believe homelessness is a circumstance, not a personality trait. The people you are helping through your giving did not choose homelessness. We have more work to do to deal with the constant threats to people who are homeless from both within and without, but today let’s celebrate YOU!

You spoke up on #GivingTuesdayNM in support of access to lifesaving health care and access to housing for people experiencing homelessness. Generosity is a core value that unites friends of AHCH. We continue to be humbled by the tangible measures of generosity expressed from every corner of our community. Our ultimate goal is to inspire philanthropy not just one day a year, but to transform the way we think about theact of giving all year long. The total amount raised through both online and offline giving is one more step we’re taking toward reflecting the scale and power of #GivingTuesdayNM as a movement. Do this by getting your circle of friends and colleagues involved in a wide variety of strategies and donate the proceeds to AHCH. Host a party and pass the hat, put on an event or concert and donate.

Whether you’re investing in access to life saving health care, helping a neighbor access housing, or giving some of what youhave to those who need our help, your gift mattered.
