AHCH’s Affordable Housing Partnership
A collaboration between High Desert Housing, a private property developer, and AHCH, will provide 47 affordable housing units for people who are disabled, experiencing homelessness, or making less than $18,850 a year.
AHCH is the service provider partner for the development, with spaces for case management, exercise, therapy, groups, and health care services.

Who is eligible for apartments here?
People who are experiencing homelessness, have a disability, veterans, or are extremely low-income.
How does the partnership work?
Health Care for the Homeless is not a property developer, but we knew that there needed to be more options for people exiting homelessness. So, we put out a Request for Proposals and through a competitive bid process, we selected High Desert Housing as our partner to build and manage Route 66 Flats, a 3-story building with 47 furnished apartments for independent living with community spaces such as a laundry, communal kitchen and garden, and meeting rooms. AHCH has designated case management spaces, therapy rooms, and a regular staff presence delivering our integrated health care model to support residents in being successful and adjusting to their new homes.
Will there be any opportunities for new partnerships?
Yes! We are working on more partnerships and exploring new developments. We also are happy to explore options with private landlords and other property managers who are interested in serving this population and receiving support.
