Our psychiatry program provides support, medication, and problem solving for individuals experiencing homelessness and psychotic and mood disorders. They also manage AHCH’s medication assisted treatment program. Our psych team, as a part of our medical team, closely integrates with our behavioral health team to explore stages of change and design comprehensive patient-centered treatment plans.

Does AHCH do Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder?

Yes, we prescribe Buprenorphine, commonly known as Suboxone, to patients with Opioid Use Disorders. If you are interested in treating your Opioid Use, call our clinic today and we can get you in for an evaluation.

I’m unsure if I want to start medication, do you have somebody I can talk to?

Yes, always! All of our providers are trained in compassionate, person-centered care. We will always respect your choices and empower you to navigate your own care. If you aren’t ready for medication yet, you are always welcome to attend our peer-support groups or come in to talk to a therapist and talk through your options.

I don’t want to be locked into anything, can I still get treatment?

Yes. We believe that you should be able to make your own choices and guide your own care. You are welcome to start and stop treatment whenever you’d like. If you are not satisfied with our treatment, but don’t want to stop treatment altogether, we will also be happy to help coordinate a referral and transfer to another provider.
