AHCH Fund Development Committee Now Accepting Applications & Nominations for New Members
February 14, 2018
Your Help Wanted - The AHCH Fund Development Committee, a standing Committee of the AHCH Board of Directors, is comprised of AHCH Broad Members and Community Members who serve as ambassadors for the organization's mission and vision. In 2018-2019, AHCH will expand its Fund Development Committee, adding several new community volunteers as members.
What are we looking for? Fund Development Committee members at AHCH are advocates with a commitment to social change. New members should not shy away from a challenge. Collectively, members of this Committee raised over $200,000 in 4 months last year. Yes, this is a fundraising committee. However, raising funds is not all that philanthropic volunteers do.
If you are a critical thinker who wants to make an impact in the Albuquerque community, this is an opportunity to play a leadership role in sustaining the critical services provided by AHCH. Orientation and ongoing training is provided for new (and current) Committee members. The time commitment can vary according to individual interests and availability, but on average, Committee members volunteer a minimum of 2 hours per month. There is a regular meeting each month (which members can participate in via conference call), with additional Committee work on email.
If you are interested in learning more or would like to recommend someone for this Committee, please email Anita Córdova (anitacordova@abqhch.org) or call the Fund Development Team at 505-338-8038. The upcoming New Member Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, April 19, 2018.
