Local Artists Redefine. Reimagine. Recycle.

The Harwood Art Center and ArtStreet are grateful to welcome you back for an in-person exhibition, marking 25 years of partnership with Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless (AHCH).  AHCH and The Harwood Art Center are pleased to invite you to join us and the talented artists from the ArtStreet Studio and the local arts community at the exhibition opening of ArtStreet Unmasked,a show about persona and how we express our unmasked selves, culture, social inequities, illnesses, and more. These artists have explored the rich symbology of mask making and creative expression through use of mixed media and recycled art, transforming old, recycled and reused objects into amazing pieces of contemporary art. This marks the 25th anniversary of exhibition partnership between AHCH and Harwood Art Center. AHCH and The Harwood Art Center have together created opportunities for ArtStreet artists and other local artists through a partnership that has supported the local arts community for more than two decades. In 2020, the annual Recycled Heart exhibit was unfortunately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This was the first year in 11 years that the exhibit was not hung or made viewable to the public. This year, with the health and safety of our artists, staff, and patrons in mind, we are thrilled to revive the Recycled Heart exhibit and once again share this experience with the community. COVID-19 safety protocols will require anyone attending the exhibit to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

ArtStreet Unmasked will be on exhibit January 18 to February 24, 2022.
